Workouts on Vacation + Reset Prizes

Hope you’re having a wonderful weekend!

We had a great Christmas morning at home and then spent the rest of the week with family and cousins.

I’ve also been enjoying having willing babysitters to get out for a run any time of day.   The country roads around my parents house are gorgeous- so good for the soul!

Sunday: 6 mile recovery run (9 minute pace)

Monday: 35 minute spin + 15 minute weight circuit

Tuesday:  6 miles easy (8:20 pace)

Wednesday:  10 mile interval run

Thursday: Christmas (and travel day)

Friday: 6 mile easy run

Saturday: 10 mile easy run

Country running

I’m spoiled for another week and will do very little cooking as we have a few more days with my family and then head over to be with my husband’s family for the end of the week.

So instead of a meal plan, I’ll share with you a few prizes for the Reset Challenge (something new, but I thought prizes would be fun.  Why not?) We start a week from tomorrow… woohoo!!

I can eat coconut butter by the spoon.  And it makes delicious dark chocolate peppermint balls as Angela shared in her meal planning post last week!

Almond butter- my favorite! If you were in the September Reset, you learned that almond butter is better for your metabolism than peanut butter.  Maybe I’ll write a post on the reasons why one of these days.

A few other prizes include Vega protein powder and a clean eating cookbook.

Although I’m skipping out on the meal plan this week, but I’d love to hear what’s on your meal plan!

How was your holiday week?

Almond or peanut butter? Have you tried coconut butter?

  1. That is interesting about almond butter.

I’m glad you have some one to help you out. I can only imagine how helpful and nice that is. Have a great rest of your Holidays.

  2. I have NEVER had coconut butter. Am I missing out? As you know I can pretty much do any nut butter. It’s my main addiction. 😉 Christmas was so fabulous and I was very sad to leave. Back in Houston up early about to get a workout in and hit the yoga mat to start detoxing and getting back on track before NYE…HA!

  3. I’d love to read about Almond butter being better for your metabolism. I am a little jealous of whoever wins the Vega Protein and Clean Eating cookbook! I’d love to have both of those! Although I didn’t gain any weight over the holidays, I did find myself noshing on some foods that don’t agree with me. I am back on track and starting to put together my training plan for Boston. Looking forward to seeing you again!

  5. Coconut butter is a favorite of mine!! So tasty. Normally I prefer Almond Butter but where I live it is so expensive and can ONLY be bought in the organic whole foods type stores so I don’t buy it too often once every couple of months, but it is a treat and I *try* and stretch it when I can! haha
