Weekly workout recap + meal plan link up

Hey friends,

Hope you’re having a good weekend! I’m happy to report that I survived my first post-baby 5k… barely.  It was nearly 80 degrees! But it felt good to push myself again and now I have a good idea where my speed is at and can only improve from here.  More on the race results tomorrow!

We also had my 4 yo’s soccer game and a birthday party yesterday, so it was a full day.  I’m crossing my fingers for a whole family nap time today!

Here’s the usual workout recap and meal plan:

Sunday: 30 minute strength workout

Monday: 6 mile run (in 51 minutes)

Tuesday: 45 minute elliptical/strength combo

Wednesday: 5 mile easy run (8:45 pace)

Thursday: taught 1 hour spin class

Friday: off

Saturday: 2.5 mile warm up + 5k race

5k pre race


Here’s our meal plan:

Sunday: Scrambled eggs and smoothies

Monday: Butternut Squash Chickpea Curry


Tuesday: Pork Tenderloin + Spicy Apple and Chickpea Salad


Wednesday: Morrocan Chicken Tagine

Thursday: Cilantro Lime Fish Tacos

Friday: Cauliflower Crust Pizza (again, because it’s so good!)

    Our Saturday started with my final 22 mile training run then we spent time at the apple orchard and dinner outside 🙂

  2. We spent the early morning with a beach date, as it was low 60s and single digit winds!

    For most of the rest of the day it was a combo of sawing trees, building a new fire pit, and writing -photographing.

    I also made a beloved Crock Pot meal in prep for daughter 2’s arrival and started the prep for her.
