On Monday, I mentioned that I’m at the one-year mark of the start of this blog, and I’d like to share some of my favorite posts from the year. Partly because it is fun for me to go back through and remember these, and partly because I need a freebie post. Yesterday was one of those days… pee on the floor, pee on the couch, rushing from one place to the next, and a boring CPR course claiming my whole evening. Sigh. Good thing it’s Friday.
Thanks for all the feedback, by the way! I am glad many of you are interested in hearing more nutrition info as I study this year. I would love to write more about it, but don’t want to veer off too sharply from the course this blog has been on.

Finally, I wanted to give a shout out to my friend Amanda and her fabulous Holiday Bootie Buster Challenge! She does an incredible job hosting this challenge every year and has some great prizes and incentives. The goal is to see how many points you can rack up for being active and eating well, from November 19- January 5th.

Monday is the last day to sign up! Get more information and register on the HBBC site.
I’m linking up with Jill for Fitness Friday.
Do you struggle to stay active and eat healthy through the holidays? Are you doing HBBC?

Congrats on 1 year! I have been considering the challenge but have hesitated because of the sign up fee. Not that it’s a lot. I’m just cheap. Or thrifty

I understand! I’m a thrifty gal, too.

It’s fun to look back at old posts isn’t it? I actually manage to do pretty well through the holidays. I just keep my workouts as typical routine and being vegetarian, I almost always just bring my own meal along LOL

Yes! It is fun to look back. I’m similar to you- not as many vegetarian options over the holidays, which helps me eat more moderately. But desserts are tough!

Congrats on 1 year! Keep up the great work. Your race reports are very inspiring!
I love this recap, especially since I just started reading your blog and I’m seeing most of those posts for the first time. As for the holidays, I do okay. I allow myself treats here and there and even some days that are quite horrid, but I know a day here or there won’t affect me much. Gluten intolerance really limits what I can have so that helps tremendously.
