Good morning!
As this post goes live, I’ll be headed to the start of the marathon. I’ll do my best to have the recap up tomorrow!
My tapering week felt too easy. I’m feeling lazy and hope my legs remember how to run! I know those are normal reactions… here’s what I did:
Monday: Unplanned rest day
Tuesday: 6 run, with 4 x 5 min at 7:20; pm- taught spin 1 hour
Wednesday: easy 30 minute spin + short weight circuit (no legs)
Thursday: 4.2 easy run
Fri & Sat: off
I’ll keep this short and sweet… here’s our meal plan for the week:

Later today: Marathon celebration meal!
Monday: Salmon, sweet potatoes and Sarah’s Sauteed Swiss Chard
Tuesday: Tomato Poached Eggs
Wednesday: Alicia’s Chicken Chili
Thursday: Crock pot Black Beans and brown rice
Friday: Homemade Pizza
Sunday: Giant salad with Tuna Avocado salad
I’m also planning to do some baking this week. Most likely, Zucchini Banana Muffins and Pumpkin Baked Oatmeal. Maybe some cookies as well. Gotta feed that post-marathon hunger.

GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You’ve got this!

Run celebration meals are the best! Restaurant week in Charleston happens to line up with the half marathon perfectly. I will be celebrating this weekend.

Hey, how did you do? Hope you’re happy with your run gutsy runner (that’s how I think of you now after seeing you at rungirl, – YES it’s a good thing, I very rarely see people giving it their all!)
I so need to get organised and get all the recipes you post on your page printed off and stored where I can grab them. I think you might be my favourite blogger, good food, runs her socks off and all whilst being wife and mum extraordinaire! All the things I’m passionate about in one place (and you’re a red head with freckles and that doesn’t hurt
).
Haha, you’re so sweet, Vicky! I remember hearing you yelling… wish we could have met.
I finished with 3:32:58, still feeling good (which was the most amazing part, I think! My 1st marathon I wanted to collapse at the end!) How about you?!?!
