Happy Mothers Day, workouts and meal plan

Did you do something special for your mom today?

My daughter was asking when ‘kids day’ is- she’s all about making cards and getting gifts on mother’s and father’s day, but doesn’t want to be left out of the fun. Makes sense, right? I didn’t think there was one but a quick google search revealed this… mark your calendars for Sunday, August 3rd!

She brought me home a spider plant and sweet card from school.  The card is a keeper.  I love that they used her own voice.  The “well …” is so my daughter.

Apparently I’m a 100 year old exercise and salad fanatic- yikes! I hope I’m displaying a few other attributes along the way, too! I’m sure her teachers were smiling at her answers.  They already look at me strangely when I show up in workout gear in the third trimester and have asked incredulously, “are you still exercising?!”

Yes, I am.  Here’s this week’s recap:

Sunday: 45 minute walk

Monday: 5 mile run (9:50 pace) + push ups

Tuesday: 30 minute walk + this circuit workout

Wednesday: 5 mile run (felt great! sub 9:30 pace and actually ran the hills)

Thursday: This 25 minute full body workout

Friday: 6 mile run, 9:55-10:00 pace

Saturday:

Note to self: I need to mix up my strength routine and use my pinterest strength board more often!

For the meal plan this week:

Sunday:  Traveling back from the beach

Monday: Hawaiian Mini Burgers and Pineapple Smoothies (I want everything in this post!)

Tuesday: Asparagus, Pepper and Kale Frittata

Wednesday:  Slow Cooked Chicken Tikka Masala (skipped this last week, but I’m trying again!)

Thursday:  Leftovers

Friday: Out… Japanese or Thai food sounds amazing these days

Saturday: At Integrative Nutrition’s conference live, so something in NYC
