I’m excited that backing off last week seems to have paid off. I felt refreshed this week plus I got in my training with no aches or pains. Whew! Just 8 weeks until the Philly marathon…
Sunday: 13 miles, 8:04 ave pace
Monday: Taught 1 hour spin + arms/core
Tuesday: 10 miles, with 8 near marathon goal pace (8:50, 8:12, 8:00, 7:39, 7:36, 7:33, 7:44, 7:41, 7:22, 7:38) + 25 squats and walking lunges
Wednesday: Cross train (15 arc, 20 spin, 15 arc) plus some upper body weights
Thursday: 10 run with 2 x 3200 at the track –warm up 8:21, 8:26, 3200 (6:46, 6:37), 7:40, 3200 (6:47, 6:40), 8:26, 7:32, 7:27
Saturday: 20 miles first half hilly and sluggish, second half felt great so I finished with the last 7-8 miles near marathon goal pace (other than mile 18′s giant hill that I was crawling up!) Miles 13-20: 8:03, 7:51, 8:03, 7:57, 7:42, 8:24 (hill!), 7:27, 7:21
I’m hoping to get some yoga in today. Did you know that Athleta is offering a lot of free classes for the month of September? You can search your local store to see what is available near you. They’re also collecting photos on Facebook and Instagram of you- simply tag a photo #shareyourOM
Sunday: North Indian Chicken Curry (similar to this one) and peach crisp (hosting friends!)
Monday: Hummus Pita Pizza
Tuesday: Miso Glazed Sea bass + Roasted veggies
Wednesday: Crock pot Vegetarian chili
Thursday: Kale and White Bean Panzanella
Saturday: Not sure- more friends here for the weekend!
