Fall 5 and 10 October Recap and Winners

Happy Monday!

Thanks for all the support in my race yesterday! It wasn’t exactly the race I wanted, but it’s done and if nothing else, was a good tempo workout. Race recap coming soon!

It’s time for the October recap of the Fall 5 or 10 mile virtual race.  (If you haven’t signed up, you’re still welcome to join us- register here!)

I got in my five miles in Monday’s tempo run… splits were 7:10, 7:26, 7:08, 7:16, 7:13.

After each race, I’ll choose winners randomly from those who entered their results in the spreadsheet.  (Note- a few emails bounced back, so if you have not received the spreadsheet link from me, please let me know!)

October’s prizes and winners are:

Box of Core Protein Bars from PROBAR: These are dangerously good.  They come in four flavors: Brownie Crisp, Cookie Dough, Peanut Butter Chocolate, and Mint Chocolate (my favorite).

Congrats, Candace L!

Box of Organic Honey Stinger Chew: These are my go-to chews for long training runs.  I love the all-natural ingredient list and they seem to work for many individuals who can’t stomach other gels and chews, and they come in a wide variety of flavors.

Congrats, Claire L!

FlipBelt: These stretchy waistbands are made from a moisture-wicking fabric to stash extras (phone, keys, or music) comfortably around your waist while running or working out.

Congrats, Laura G!

Words to Sweat By: Dana has created beautiful fitness accessories and jewelry for active women- I love the bracelets! She also has inspirational necklaces, mantra towels and more.  Check out all of her products here.

Bracelet: Congrats, Jen R!

Necklace and towel: Congrats, Katie (Legally Fit)!

If you won, please contact me with your mailing address.

How was your running in October? Have you tried any of the prizes above?

  1. I love the Honey Stinger chews! They are about the only thing I can eat when I’m running. I also have some honey tubes that I got at our state fair (of all places!) that are pretty good, but not enough calories, so I alternate. :)

  2. I haven’t run a whole lot in October – purposely – trying to rest my legs and hips a bit before my 50 mile race next weekend and then I think I will take a short running break! I did get in 10 miles this morning though and felt good!

  3. I love Honey Stinger chews but I only use them on long runs. It’s too hard to eat those while racing so I stick with the honey stinger gels while racing.

I was hoping to win the Flip Belt. :) I’ve been wanting to try one out because I’ve heard such good things about them. Guess I’ll have to place an order now…

    Congrats to all the winners!
