Running Coach Services

Whether ­you’re looking to move from the couch to a 5k (3.1 miles) or shave minutes off your marathon pr (personal record),  I would love to help you meet your running goals. Every runner is different, and no one plan will work for everyone, so I will tailor a plan to fit your unique training background, desires and goals.

I am a certified running coach through Road Runner’s Club of America (RRCA), and have run races of all distances through the marathon (see all my races here).  But I was not always a runner.  I finished second to last place in my 4th grade mile run in gym class!  It wasn’t until college that I began training for my first half marathon and I’ve been hooked ever since.

There are three plan options.

Custom Training Plan:

This is the most basic online coaching option.  After an initial consultation, I would design a plan specifically for you. This plan does not include ongoing “coaching” services.  Communication is minimal.

Includes:

  • Initial consultation and assessment of fitness and future goals
  • A complete training plan for the training season, with detailed goal paces, distance, duration and intensity

Individualized E-coaching:

E-coaching is designed to give you more feedback throughout your training.  You and I would have regular communication about your training and I would update and change your training plan as needed based on your performance and feedback.

Includes:

  • Initial consultation to evaluate current fitness and future goals
  • Complete training plan with detailed goal paces, distance, duration and intensity
  • Regular communication via email or phone to assess your training
  • Race day prep assistance
  • Nutrition and hydration recommendations

In-person Coaching:

If you’re local to north New Jersey or the NYC area, this plan includes all of the Individualized E-coaching elements, as well as the potential to meet in person for training guidance and support.

Includes:

  • Initial consultation to evaluate current fitness and future goals
  • Complete training plan with detailed goal paces, distance, duration and intensity
  • Regular communication via email or phone to assess your training
  • Race day prep assistance
  • Nutrition and hydration recommendations
  • In person meetings or runs for training guidance and support
