A Utah marathon? Plus giveaway!

Good morning!

I woke up to lots of snow this morning and schools closed.  It’s ironic, as yesterday hit 50 degrees and as I sit here writing about a summer marathon! But it’s nice to finally have a little taste of “real” winter.

This week I was given the opportunity to run the Utah Valley Marathon in June! It’s still under discussion as my June calendar is up in the air and I wasn’t planning on a marathon until the fall…

But as I make my decision, I also have a giveaway for one of you!

Some stats about the race:

  • The Utah Valley Marathon was named a TOP 10 race in America by Runner’s World Magazine in 2014

  • They are giving out a nice race jacket instead of a shirt in 2017 due to this being their 10 year anniversary

  • The course is fast and net downhill course, (great for a BQ or pr!)

What do you think, should I do it? Wanna come with me?

Enter the rafflecopter below to win an entry to the Utah Valley half marathon, full marathon or 5k!

  1. I will be there! I was thinking about running the full, but the smarter distance for me to do is the half. I also have to consider that II might have a migraine and the only distance I’ll be running is a few steps to the bathroom. I hope you go! I would love to see you and if you need a roommate let me know. Debbie Woodruff will be there too! Excited to see some of my ladies. xo

  2. Yeah! Come here!! The Utah Valley Marathon is so pretty and I can run from my house and join it. I often run a part of the course for my weekly runs in the spring through the fall. You will love it. It’s a really fun race. And it’s where I live so of COURSE I say do it! But I’ll probably be doing the half, not the full.

  3. Ive never done a destination race before, but I actually signed up to do this exact race last year. It didn’t happen unfortunately because of unforeseen circumstances, so I would love the chance to redeem my dream and run it this year! That would be so awesome!

  4. I haven’t done a racecation before. However, I am moving to Utah next month and would love to participate in this race!

  5. I started running at the beginning of last year and I have gained up the courage, and stupidity, to attempt a full marathon. I have been told this one is the best marathon race in the state! I hope to win this so I can do my first full marathon. Thanks Laura

  6. Most of my racecations have been in Florida – but I never fair well race wise in the heat. I want to start exploring more out west and throwing in an awesome race would be a good reason to! Utah is gorgeous!

  7. I’ve done a lot of racecations – mostly in Florida. In fact my first marathon, Miami was wrapped into one, as it was the day before my birthday! I don’t race well in heat so have learned not to have goals for those races. Would LOVE to head out west. Utah is just gorgeous! Would be a great excuse to go explore!

  8. I did Grandma’s marathon, brought my family to Duluth and Minneapolis. Plus Chicago twice. This would be beautiful!!
