5k training recap + meal planning

Hey friends!

How’s the long weekend going? We had fun hosting two families yesterday- old friends for lunch who were passing through the area on their way to upstate NY and new local friends for the evening. It was a full day of entertaining, grilling, kids playing, and perfect weather to sit outside and relax with our wine.

Weekend entertaining

I also got out for my longest post-Boston run yesterday morning.

Friday: off

Saturday: 9.5 run (warm up 9:45 mile, remaining 8.5 at 8:05 average)

How are you celebrating the long weekend?

Do you prefer speed work on the treadmill or at a track?

  1. I celebrated the long weekend with an enjoyable few days of relaxation. Today and tomorrow I work sadly. That is awesome about hosting the families and enjoy yourself 🙂

  3. Went to a BBQ last night and now I’ll just be chilling the rest of the weekend…Enjoyed a nice rest day today and hoping to do a run and yoga tomorrow. I like to do speed work on the treadmill. The track brings back memories…HAHA and memories that I don’t like.

  4. You had an awesome week of running and such good food! I spent the long weekend with my family and friends doing some fun things: anime convention with our daughter, running a race with friends, and celebrating a friend’s year running streak today. It’s been a great weekend!
