19 weeks pregnant workouts + meal plan link up

Good morning! We’re enjoying the weekend as much as possible before the next snowstorm hits tonight…we’re supposed to get a foot of snow!

The half marathon that I was hoping to run was this morning.  I was all set to run it until I remembered to look into the port-o-pot situation.  It’s a small, low-cost race and there are none! My bladder is squashed and I can make it about 3 miles before I am so uncomfortable I have to stop, so that’s just not going to work. I considered pit stops along the side of the road, but decided that there will be more races.  I’m considering one in March or April instead.

This week’s workouts:

Sunday: Taught 1 hour spin + a few push ups and ten minutes core

Monday: 6 mile treadmill run (started at 9:30 pace, last mile at 8:10 pace)

Tuesday: 30 minute elliptical + 20 minute strength

Wednesday: 5.5 treadmill easy run, about 9:10 pace

Thursday: 40 minutes elliptical, 20 minute weights

Friday: Off

Saturday: 5 mile run + 45 minute spin class

On the menu this week…

Sunday: Crock pot Split Pea Soup



Monday: Turkey Veggie Lasagna– I haven’t made lasagna in a few years, I think! Must be a pregnancy craving.  :)




Tuesday: Leftovers


Wednesday:  Salmon, Sweet Potato “Fries” and Spinach Apple Feta Salad


Thursday:  Soba Noodles with Roasted Red Pepper Sauce and Tofu



Friday: Leftovers or Breakfast for dinner


 Saturday: Brunch with friends

  1. Bathroom access is huge factor when pregnant! Oh how I remember those days. :)

    It’s funny that you mentioned lasagna. I made it last week because I was craving it. That is always one of my favorite comfort foods that reminds me of my mom. She makes the best lasagna! Mine was a mish mash of butternut squash, spinach and mushrooms. So good!

  2. Another foot??? Even though I am in MI right now, and there is nearly 3ft of snow, and ALL the roads are covered, I am glad I am away from Philly if you are getting another storm as I am so sick of it! Everything becomes a mess! I just did 9 miles on the snow, it was -5 here, but I bundled up and survived! Your meals all look wonderful! Great job on keeping up with workouts with everything you have going on! :) I hope I can still get my mileage in while I am here…..19 tomorrow is gonna be tricky!

  3. You guys are having such a winter! 19 weeks pregnant and no bathroom along the route– yeah, that wasn’t going to work. So great that you do all that menu planning and have so many of your own recipes archived. The last time I made lasagna has to be years ago by now! It just gets very specialized with all the substitutions I make from the traditional recipe.

  4. So funny about the port-a-potty situation!! I don’t usually have to stop, but it’s definitely peace of mind when you know you CAN. Hopefully you’ll find a bigger race soon w/ some bathroom opportunities.

  5. I love homemade lasagne but rarely take the time to make it!!
    Sounds like you made a smart choice on the race – 13.1 is a long way with no bathrooms available when you are pregnant.

  6. Okay, so I’m a total freak, but I hate lasagna. Not your typical, I just don’t like it, but the thought of eating lasagna gives me the heebie jeebies, and makes me feel nauseous. I have absolutely NO explanation for why, though. I know my mom made a lot of the frozen versions when we were kids, but I never really liked it then either. I hate crispy noodles, which could also be part of it, who knows!?

    It drives my husband crazy, bc he loves lasagna but we’ve never made that as meal. I just won’t eat it. ha :)
