Good morning! We’re enjoying the weekend as much as possible before the next snowstorm hits tonight…we’re supposed to get a foot of snow!
The half marathon that I was hoping to run was this morning. I was all set to run it until I remembered to look into the port-o-pot situation. It’s a small, low-cost race and there are none! My bladder is squashed and I can make it about 3 miles before I am so uncomfortable I have to stop, so that’s just not going to work. I considered pit stops along the side of the road, but decided that there will be more races. I’m considering one in March or April instead.
This week’s workouts:
Sunday: Taught 1 hour spin + a few push ups and ten minutes core
Monday: 6 mile treadmill run (started at 9:30 pace, last mile at 8:10 pace)
Tuesday: 30 minute elliptical + 20 minute strength
Wednesday: 5.5 treadmill easy run, about 9:10 pace
Thursday: 40 minutes elliptical, 20 minute weights
Saturday: 5 mile run + 45 minute spin class
On the menu this week…
Sunday: Crock pot Split Pea Soup
Monday: Turkey Veggie Lasagna– I haven’t made lasagna in a few years, I think! Must be a pregnancy craving. 🙂
Wednesday: Salmon, Sweet Potato “Fries” and Spinach Apple Feta Salad
Friday: Leftovers or Breakfast for dinner
Saturday: Brunch with friends
