18 weeks pregnant + For Two Fitness giveaway

Hope you all had a great weekend! Two weeks have passed again… so it’s time to check in on the bump!


How far along: 18 weeks

Total weight gain: up 6-7 lbs

Maternity clothes: Still belly band-ing most days.

Sleep: Mostly good, with a few bouts of insomnia around 4 or 5am.  I hope that passes.

Miss anything: Not much until I saw everyone sharing their margaritas on Instagram for Saturday’s National Margarita day!

Movement: Yes! Although I’m still the only one who can feel it.

Food cravings: Bagels and cream cheese… something I never cared for before.

Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope, feeling good.

Have you started to show yet: I think so, but it depends what I’m wearing. Some friends say they wouldn’t assume it if they didn’t know me.

Gender: We find out in two weeks!

Wedding rings on or off: On

Happy or moody most of the time: Mostly good.  A few teary moments when L pushes my buttons or I’m watching a sappy scene and I remember there are extra hormones raging through my body.  :)

Looking forward to:  The gender news!

I don’t feel big yet, but I’m definitely bigger than my first pregnancy.  Which fuels my prediction that it’s a boy, but who knows!  :) I’ll see if I can do some comparison photos for the 20 week post.

  1. Have never been pregnant, but hope to someday for sure :) I plan to keep running, but obviously not at the elite level I am now. It will be tough for me to scale back, but so worth it, and will probably mean I enjoy running more!

  2. I have never been pregnant but I am a mom. Running is what really helped me during the adoption process. It is the most stressful time and running helped de-stress from that time.

  3. My girl friend is having a C section Tues. It’s a boy! This tank will inspire her to get back into shape. The capris are comfy looking for post baby figure.

  4. I’m only 10 weeks along so I’m not ready to tweet or share this giveaway on Instagram, but I love this tank and would love to wear it during a few races I have planned for the spring and summer. I am hoping to keep running as long as possible and keep active on walks and trips to the gym!

  5. I’m 16 weeks now and my plan for fitness starts today! Morning sickness or all day sickness has prevented much activity the past couple months but I’m ready to get back to it! My plan is to buy a few prenatal yoga DVDs and start rotating them throughout the week! I’m excited! Great giveaway! :)

  6. Love the Running for Two tank! I wish I’d known about that brand when I was pregnant. I had a Running Skirts maternity skirt that I absolutely loved.

    I thought I grew/changed so much faster with my second pregnancy, but looking back at pictures and notes on weight gain, I ended up being very similar. I gained almost exactly the same amount with both girls.

  7. I’m 27 weeks pregnant with my first. I’m still (slowly) running, spinning, and doing yoga. I have a For Two Fitness tank and love it! It’s the only workout tank that fits me now :)

  8. Not pregnant but hope to be one day! I plan to stay active by continuing to run, but scaling back the intensity and moving toward more walking and cross-training when needed.

  9. This is SO cute!!! I did not wear any cute workout clothes when I was pregnant…I just wore t-shirts that were either big or that I stretched :)!…or I may or may not have worn my husbands :). I ran through both pregnancies…at that time though I wasn’t racing and did about 25-30 miles a week so I just slowed the pace up and went by feel. My second pregnancy I actually gained about 10 pounds less (20 instead of 30). During my second pregnancy I got the flu and it lasted almost 2 weeks and I think that had a lot to do with it! I also didn’t crave french fries as much with the second :)

  10. I am currently pregnant with baby #2. With my first I was not active at all, but so far (week 22!) I have been running 3 to 4 days a week and my first “pregnant” half marathon will be on 3/8!

  11. I am 21 weeks pregnant with baby #3 and have been doing a combination of running, weight training, x-country skiing and swimming to stay fit during this pregnancy.

  12. I’m 17 weeks pregnant with my first! I’ve been running when I can, swimming a lot more than normal and keeping up with my hot yoga. Yoga feels AH-MAZING!

  13. That top is adorable…and so is your belly. I seriously should start a line for twin mamas since my belly looked like that around week 10! Of course, my top would also need to say “Running for Three!” Love it!!

  15. Good to check in with you, Laura! I saw your comment on Kelly’s blog and realized I hadn’t seen what you’re up to for a while. I’m glad you are feeling good–you certainly look great. I was much tearier than I normally am when I was pregnant–commercials made me cry. :^)

  16. Currently pregnant and a week behind you! Coming up on 17 weeks this Wednesday. Struggling to keep active after teaching all day, but have big goals to walk/run a 1/2 marathon the first weekend of May. That’s enough to make me get at least a 3 mile run in a few days a week and a longer run on the weekend.

    Love those shirts and would love to have one!

  17. I have been loving these tanks by For Two Fitness! Not preggers yet but I plan to stay active during pregnancy by running (my favorite) and also lots of yoga to keep the muscles loose. Great review!

  18. I run :) 17 weeks and pregnant with my third!! Thankful I’ve been able to run through each pregnancy! And have even been able to do a few pregnant halfs and am now just learning recently about for two fitness!! I still plan on one more child after this so I would love to get use out of it! I get tired of showing my belly! Ha ha!

  19. I’m currently 33 wks preggo with my first. I’m a seasoned marathoner and a recreational lifter, running and lifting my way thru this pregnancy. Was 2 mos into training for my fall full when we learned we were expecting. Can’t wait to resume my normal level of training once spring and baby both arrive!

  20. I’ve been running with quite a few walk breaks (especially now at almost 30 weeks!). Hopefully it will all pay off after the baby comes and I’ll have a smooth comeback to exercise

  21. We just found out that we’re expecting our first! I’ve been so tired, though. Today was the first day in two weeks that I worked out, and I did a home video. I may return to the gym simply for the yoga classes!

  22. I am 35 weeks. I haven’t been able to do quite as much as I wanted this pregnancy, but I do try to stay active by walking, some barre workouts, light yoga, etc.

  23. It’s been a long, long time since I was pregnant and I did work out even though it gave my mother a heart attack. Mostly DVDs at home. When my daughter is pregnant she likes to do Wii Fit.

    I don’t think you can tell much that you are pregnant. Can’t wait to hear the news in a couple of weeks.

  24. Very cute! :) I’m about 10 weeks and I’m still doing gym workouts 3x a week and something on my own (yoga usually) 2x a week. Well – most weeks. I had a couple of days where just getting through the work day was enough!

    I’ve found I’m successful at maintaining activity by allowing myself to scale back on the intensity. It’s hard…I like the intense workouts…but it doesn’t take as much to qualify as ‘intense’ anymore! Hoping to pick that up a little once the fatigue subsides. :)

  25. I am currently 22 weeks with my third boy. This is the first time I have been committed to staying in shape through pregnancy.. So far I’m feeling great, doing cardio and light lifting 2-3 times a week. I would LOVE to have one of these tanks for the gym!!!

  26. Cute! I try to rotate through some pregnancy workout videos, walking and daily yoga! I haven’t been able to run very much at all this pregnancy due to such cold and icy weather since I don’t have a gym…

  27. With a 20 months old, getting in my workouts like I did when pregnant with him is a lot more difficult, but I am getting my treadmill runs in and actually starting to do some muscle work!

  28. I wore my husbands workout tops as my belly grew. I could still wear my regular workout shorts but had to wear them below the belly. My 1st pregnancy I was not able to run, I had such bladder issues which I found out afterwards is very common with pregnancy and running.
    My 2nd pregnancy I was able to run all the way to my due date (boy was 3 days late). My 3rd pregnancy however I ran up to 30 weeks but started to get really bad round ligament pain that would have me limping for 2 days after a 3-4 mile run so I had to stop at that point.
    However keeping up with my cardio in other aspects got me back into running really quickly after all of my deliveries.

  29. I’m 16 weeks pregnant and have been running and working out at least 4 times a week. I’m actually training for a half on May 4 with my brother. This shirt would be perfect!

  30. I always try and maintain my running and cross training during pregnancy, but I listen to my body more and don’t train as hard!

  31. Running of course! 23wks now, thankfully still out being able to rock the miles! Plans for races up to half marathons up to 38wks, so hopefully the body cooperates again this pregnancy. :)
