Hope you all had a great weekend! We met our “Intention” of a monthly date night for January and got out Saturday for Thai food and a movie. We saw Philomena- I was pretty sure I would enjoy it, but was glad that he found it really interesting as well. And of course, with pregnancy hormones, the tears were flowing!
Somehow two weeks have already passed and it’s time for another pregnancy update. Overall, I am feeling better every day. I made the mistake of staying up til 11pm a few times last week, which I then paid for, but if I’m smart and get to bed in good time, my energy is definitely picking up.
Here are the details:
How far along: 13 weeks
Total weight gain: up 1-2 lbs
Maternity clothes: Not yet but I am sticking to the pants that have some “give”- no more jeans for me.
Sleep: This past week was rough, but that was mostly my fault. And I find if I have a late night snack or big dinner, I wake up uncomfortable in the middle of the night.
Miss anything: I miss effortless running but am happy I can get back out there.
Movement: Not yet. Hopefully in a few weeks!
Food cravings: Now I’m transitioning from protein to carbs. I actually bought cereal this week, which we rarely have in the house and am loving it right now. 🙂
Anything making you queasy or sick: Not everything is appealing but I can’t necessarily predict what it will be that turns my stomach.
Have you started to show yet: I feel like my belly popped the week I found out I was pregnant- but hasn’t changed much since then.
Gender: L thinks it’s a boy.
Wedding rings on or off: On
Happy or moody most of the time: Definitely happy. And a little extra sensitive at times. 🙂
Looking forward to: Feeling more normal in the 2nd trimester and soon feeling movement.

One of my goals is to get back to the pool soon… but for some reason, I always struggle to get myself in the water. Once I’m in I love it, but I don’t like all the gear required, and the cold water when you first jump in. Maybe by putting my goal out there, I’ll make it happen before the 15 week update.
